Using installation, I explore nostalgia and value in cultural materials. Coming from an Thai and British background, I use traditional and labouring practices of deconstructing and creating. Learning, merging and isolating parts of my experiences to create installations of hybridity. I am interested in the double meanings of objects, and how they can be used to communicate it's affordances. I imagine my practice involves building my own house on the border between two cultures.

Through labour, this piece showcases the investigation of tourism and the culture created to cater to it. Pulling threads out of Thai fabric that have been sold for tourist; it has been stripped of it's colour, only leaving behind the black threads that were once called fabric. Hung from the ceiling, this piece is held together by two pieces of wood, that have been tied together by rubber bands, a product I personally tie to Thailand.
